Kidnapped 8-Year-Old Fairfield Boy Found Safe
FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - An 8-year-old Fairfield boy who was abducted from the front of his home has been found safe.
Eight-year-old Brock Guzman was asleep inside his parents' silver 2001 Toyota Corolla when it was stolen from in front of his home on 1000 Meadowlark Drive around 4:45 a.m. this morning, according to a Fairfield Police Department statement. A green Specialized mountain bike was left behind.
The vehicle was found at around 8:20 a.m. on Dahlia Street, which is about two miles away from Brock's home. He was still asleep.
Brock's parent reportedly started the car, but went back inside to get something. When they came back, the car was gone.
"Luckily one of our local residents, spotted the local vehicle...contacted the Fairfield Police Department. [Police] responded to that location. They currently they have Brock with them," said a Fairfield Police Department officer.
Police have not identified a suspect.
