Boy, 5, Hurt In S.F. Hit-And-Run
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- San Francisco police are asking for the public's help in finding a hit-and-run driver after a five-year-old boy was hit by a car as he crossed a street.
Police say the boy was in a crosswalk in the city's Silver Terrace neighborhood with a family member when he was hit around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
The boy was taken to a hospital where he is being treated for what a police spokesman describes as "non-life threatening injuries." The boy's name has not been released.
Police describe the car they're looking for as a dark green hatchback with a missing passenger side mirror.
The incident comes after a four-year-old boy died in a hospital after he was hit in a Santa Rosa crosswalk Thursday evening.
An adult woman also died after getting hit by a bus while she crossed a street in San Francisco Friday afternoon.
