Bomb Squad Clears Suspicious Device Found At West Sacramento Gas Station
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The bomb squad has given the all clear for employees to return to work in West Sacramento after a suspicious package was found at a gas station.
The package containing wires, some type of cylinder and a cell phone was found at a Valero gas station near 4751 West Capitol Ave.
West Sacramento police evacuated the Valero gas station and a Chevron station immediatelty next door as the bomb squad used a robot to check out the possible explosive device.
Just after noon, the all clear was given. Police are looking at surveillance tape to see if the package was deliberately left at the gas station or perhaps someone accidentally dropped the package.
