Boil Water Order Issued After Fecal Bacteria Discovered In Placer County Water System
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — A boil water order is in effect for about 40 homes after samples from a public water system tested positive for fecal bacteria.
Placer County Environmental Health put out the advisory after a company said two of three routine samples from the Auburn Valley Community Service District water system tested positive.
The cause of the contamination is under investigation.
The Auburn Valley Country Club on Auburn Valley Road had to bring in a truck to provide water for its restaurant on Wednesday.
