Black Lives Matter Protesters Expected Outside Board Of Supervisors Meeting
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Supporters of Sacramento's "Black Lives Matter" movement will be out protesting the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors meeting starting Tuesday morning.
The group is calling for answers in the October shooting death of 36-year-old Adriene Ludd.
Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies say they were forced to shoot Ludd when he pointed a loaded gun at three of them during a traffic stop.
Investigators say Ludd pulled the trigger, but his gun jammed and he dropped it. When he went to pick it back up, deputies opened fire.
Ludd's family has accused the department of inconsistencies in that story since it came out. They are demanding to see the original police and autopsy reports.
Protesters are expected to be outside the admin building starting at 9 a.m.
