Although the name might imply otherwise, Club 21 does allow the 18 and up crowd on certain nights. Every week, Club 21 re-invents itself with many different types of events all under one roof. This intimate mid-size club has a capacity of 250 people and can be found in mid-town Sacramento. Sundays and Wednesdays it's Bojangles, an 18 and over gay dance club. Every first Saturday, Club 21 morphs into Purr, an all-ladies night in conjunction with Sacramento PRIDE. For something completely different, show up on Tuesdays for swing classes and Latin night every Friday. Regardless of the venue, the lighting is brilliant and the sound is bumpin'. Every Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the club hosts a concert series with local bands and live music. If you're over 17, stay for the comedy set after the concert.
