Rumor has it the Irish know a thing or two about alcohol consumption. If there is any truth to the rumor it would stand to reason their watering holes would be highly sought out. As far as Irish Pubs in Sacramento, what we lack in quantity we more than make up for in quality. This Irish Pub comes to us from the Orangevale area.  The Blarney Stone has a lot going on almost every day of the week. You can partake in  Karaoke at 8:30pm on Mondays as well as free pool. Then we have Get Lucky Tuesdays featuring $3 U Call Its. Next we have Whiskey Wednesdays with live music from 8:30-11:30 pm. You can also find DJ Rigatony spinning tracks every Thursday night at 9:00 pm. This is followed by Flash Back Friday's with Sacramento's own famous DJ Alazzawi with no cover and $2.50 pints of PBR. $3 3 Olive drinks and $4 shots of Fireball from 8 till closing.  Since this pub is dedicated to bringing you something every night of the week- Saturday turns into Shamrock Saturday: Every Saturday from 8 till close you can experience live music with no cover charge, $4 Guinness, $6 Jager Bombs and $7 High Life pitchers. The week is capped off with "Sin Sundays" featuring $3 Jameson, $3 Sailor Jerry,  $3 3 Olives and $3 Jager Spice from 8 till close. If you are hungry when you come in,  The Blarney Stone serves its full menu from 12-8 pm.

The Boxing Donkey Irish Pub & Restaurant has a full calendar of live music events on their roster available on their site. This Irish pub also caters to the desires of their patrons by providing a full lunch and dinner menu. Happy Hour goes every day from 4-7pm encompassing various drink specials as well as discounted food items. The de Vere family immigrated to the United States from Dublin, Ireland. In the early 1980's they decided to call Sacramento their home. Everything about de Vere's is authentic, the pictures, the decor, even all of the fixtures and furniture were designed and built in Ireland and reassembled back here in the states. The de Vere family is very active in the community.  They are a proud supporter of The Sacramento Republic, often opening very early in the morning (or in the middle of the night depending on who you are)  to offer televised soccer matches from around the world on nine flat screen TVs. For the past several years they have hosted a head-shaving charity event benefiting St. Baldrick's, a children's cancer foundation. The downtown Sacramento contribution in the past six years has reached over a million dollars. de Vere's also has a whiskey society that grants you benefits for being a member. A lifetime membership is only $50. Membership includes an event called "Big Bottle Night":  a few times a year they purchase a rare whiskey for their members and offer it at cost. Space is very very limited- a rare opportunity, indeed. Oh- did I mention they have delicious food, awesome service and great drinks?

To say O'Mally's Irish Pub is an Old Sacramento staple would be a mild understatement. Not only has this Irish Pub been around for what seems to be forever, they have managed to fight the mainstream wave and go without a website, but you will find a Facebook page. This may actually be one of the only Irish Pubs on this list that can boast the fact that they really don't need these forms of marketing. The fact is, if you know anything about Sacramento history, you know where O'Mally's is located and have likely been there at least once. Customers have enjoyed good drinks, good times and shared great memories at O'Mally's over the years. Thankfully this is one Irish Pub the has established their staying power so they won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
