Best Hangout Spots After Bar Close In Sacramento

In Sacramento, nightlife begins as soon as the sun sets beyond the Tower Bridge. So, it's no surprise that the City of Trees is also home to dozens of late-night hangout spots that includes everything from music venues that specialize in live metal, an arcade bar that houses more than 40 arcade games from the '80s, and also a Mediterranean lounge that sends out the belly dancers to entertain guests not just on week nights, but every single night. Who says nightlife should only be reserved for the weekends? So, grab some friends or a date and check off one or more of these venues for a lot of nighttime fun.

One late-night spot on the grid is the Starlite Lounge. Once a former dance club known as the Town House where smoke machines, indie, pop and new wave music ruled the night, is now under new ownership and known as a destination for live metal music. New name, owner, bartenders, decor (which includes a life-size robot) and more contributed to the new direction of the venue and now metal bands from Sacramento to Denver Colo., from Germany and the United Kingdom all perform regularly upstairs in this midtown late-night hot spot. Along with a stiff drink and a wide selection of craft beers, the Starlite Lounge also has a full kitchen that serves burgers, tacos and more.

Here at B-Side, downtown dwellers can enjoy a no-frills beer and shot of whiskey while enjoying the low-lit ambiance and old-school appeal.
