Bernie Sanders Brings Optimism To Sacramento Before Stockton Rally
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — His message was clear—win in California, beat Hillary Clinton, and clinch the Democratic nomination for the 2016 presidential election.
Bernie Sanders took the stage to a crowd of thousands of delighted supporters, with many capturing the moment for themselves with cellphone cameras raised high.
Before his speech, Sanders spoke to reporters about what does he want if he doesn't win.
"We have about a month, five weeks left in this election. The focus is winning the democratic nomination," he said. "I'm not gonna get into Plan; B I'm gonna be working very hard on plan A."
His Plan A has him needing a landslide win in California's June 7 primary, and he's planning to go all out for the Golden State.
"We are obviously going to spend a lot of time here because California is where the votes are," he said.
Sanders will be in Stockton on Tuesday for a morning rally.
