Baby Born At South Lake Tahoe Bus Stop
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (CBS13) -- A father delivered his new baby boy they were waiting at a bus stop for a ride to the hospital.
There are some that believe that the way you come into this world has a lot to do with your personality later in life, but if that's true, South Lake Tahoe's newest resident is going to be a handful.
This wasn't quite what the Corado's had in mind for young David's grand entrance.
"Our people are told somebody at the bus stop having a baby; very unusual so lots of questions that follow," said Chief Brian Uhler, South Lake Tahoe Police Department.
On the corner of Pioneer Trail and Aspenwald Road at 12:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, the couple sat waiting for a cab, but the baby was waiting for no one, which is when 911 was called.
"He was quite excited, knew the baby was coming out, and our dispatchers had a dialogue trying to figure out where they were," says Chief Uhler.
The baby came faster than expected, and there was no stopping it. The family made it to the hospital okay with a new addition and a story few will forget.
Six pound David Corado is doing well, and his mom and dad are a little tired, which is the reason they denied CBS13's request for an interview.
