Audio: The Don Geronimo Show - September 6, 2011
Today, Don and the guys return from vacation! Don begins by talking about the Jerry Lewis telethon over the weekend in which the Muscular Dystrophy Association claims to have raised more money this year than they ever did with Jerry. Madden 12 came out last week, and Don already has it, and Dave has been named Commissioner of the fantasy football league. Don then tells us about his vacation, which started with a trip to the DMV to finally get his California drivers license, and then wrecking his car on one of the brick columns on his driveway. We also hear about Don trying to control his road rage on Interstate 5 and Highway 99 on the way down to L.A. after having to deal with some lousy drivers.
Don then tells us about his time at Disneyland with his wife Janet, and goes off on the parents he saw at the park who are too lazy to keep an eye on their kids. He also rants on the people who ride around on rascals in the park, because they're too lazy to walk around. Apparently there were quite a few confrontations in the Happiest Place On Earth that Don witnessed also. There was even a guy who puked on Don's Packer shoes while riding the Ferris Wheel!
Don continues with his vacation, telling us about the Korean BBQ restaurant he and Janet went to with their son Bart, and the numerous Asian people who flock to Michael Jackson's star on the Walk Of Fame. The guys then talk Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Hell's Kitchen, and Dancing With The Stars. Don then tells us his "Lady using a urinal" story, and then Little Joe tells us about his daughter walking in on him and his wife while doing the nasty!
Dave tells us all about his vacation as well, including his wife Melissa's epic "I'm turning 30" meltdown, the Rice Krispies Treat she ate, and the house hunting they did, in which Dave couldn't remember his real estate agent's name. Don also plays a clip from last week's "Best Of" show, in which Craig and Drew have a lengthy discussion of their greatest puke stories.
We then go into the Phantom News Hour. Today, Phantom tells us about President Obama's approval rating, the massive deficit the U.S. Post Office is facing, the ads for this year's Super Bowl almost being sold out, and the weekend's box office numbers. We also learn from Phantom that Americans are most afraid of traveling to Mexico, Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day got kicked off an airplane, and Dave woke up his wife this morning with a wretched fart. And as always, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100.
