Audio: The Don Geronimo Show - June 21, 2011
Today is the 1 Year Anniversary of The Don Geronimo Show in Sacramento! Don starts by mentioning that American Idol star Danny Gokey was in the KNCI office for an hour playing his new CD for Matt and Byron. We then get to hear the introduction that Steve Goss recorded for Don's Anniversary Show, and Janet's heartfelt message to Don. The first call of the day is Mark Kreidler of The Rise Guys, and Don thanks him for the gift he dropped off. Don then talks about getting back into radio after leaving the Don and Mike Show, and the road that took him to Sacramento, and KHTK.
Don talks about Roger Ebert's tasteless tweet about Ryan Dunn yesterday, and Bam Margera's response to it. We then find out that Ebert's Facebook account has been suspended as a result of his tweet. After going through Don's favorite Dave moments this past year, Danny Gokey stops in to hang out with Don. Don calls in Craig to sing for Danny, who isn't very warmed up, and butchers his way through a couple songs. After Danny Gokey leaves, Don talks about shooting the pilot episode for his new night time show tomorrow, and the men's restroom in the station. This leads to a discussion of how bad Craig's bowel movements are, and we get input from Craig's girlfriend, Paris, who helps out with Don's show. We then hear the tape of Rush Limbaugh promoting his brand new tea.
Don and Dave then decide to do some porch sittin' outside, and since there's a kiddie pool out there, they call Craig outside, make him strip to his boxers, and get in the pool. We then get to hear a 7 minute retrospect of Don's first year put together by Craig and Paris. Don then takes a caller 100, and Drew Hoffar finishes the show with a happy ending.
