Arrests Made In Oakland Pot Bust

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Authorities have made arrests and seized hundreds of pot plants from a warehouse in Oakland.

According to television news reports, police used flash-bang grenades to enter the warehouse around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. They found more than 1,000 marijuana plants and several weapons and arrested 11 people.

Police say the warehouse was serving as a growing and distribution operation. The pot was apparently not being used for medicinal purposes.
