Arrest Made In Death Of 3-Year-Old Boy
MODESTO, Calif. (CBS13) -- An Escalon resident has been arrested for allegedly causing the death of his girlfriend's three-year-old son.
Joe Anthony Correia, 27, fatally wounded the young boy with a "traumatic blow to the abdomen," leading to the victim's death of July 23 at a Modesto hospital, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department.
The circumstances leading up to the incident have not been released.
Correia is being held without bail on a single count of child abuse of a victim under 8 that resulted in death. He is scheduled to be arraigned in court Tuesday afternoon.
