Area To Get First Rain Since September
Sunshine and nearly normal temperatures were found throughout Northern California Saturday, but significant changes are on the way.
Most areas will see mostly sunny skies Sunday as valley highs hover in the mid 60s, and mountain highs in the upper 50s.
The big changes happen late Monday going into Tuesday as moisture starts to stream toward the state. Rain showers will impact the coast by Monday afternoon, then pushing into the valley late in the evening and overnight.
Tuesday is the best day with scattered showers for many locations in the valley and foothills. Since this is a fairly warm storm, snow levels will be high, possibly at 6000 feet and above for Tuesday.
Showers will linger for Wednesday and the clouds will start to clear by Thursday. By the time it's all said and done, we could pick up about a half inch of rain.
Anything will be great since the last time it rained in Sacramento was Sept. 21.
