Aquitania Murder Suspect Back In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- The suspect arrested for the brutal murders of a man and his baby boy four years ago has been returned to Sacramento after his arrest in Oakland earlier this week.

Donald Ortez-Lucero, 27, is being held without bail at the Sacramento County Main Jail on two counts of murder and one count of attempted robbery, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

Ortex-Lucero is believed to be one of the men who was robbing a home in South Sacramento on September 14, 2007, when Sean Aquitania, Sr. and his 7-month-old son Sean Aquitania, Jr., arrived in their car to visit some friends.

"Sean and his son were just there at the wrong place at the wrong time trying to visit the people that live in the house," said Detective Brian Meux.

Both victims were shot and killed in their car. The baby boy was shot at close range in the back of the head while he was still sitting in his car seat.

Witness statements and DNA evidence led detectives to arrest Ortez-Lucero at an Oakland home without incident Monday. Authorities believe there are at least two other suspects at large.
