Apartment Complex Damaged By Blaze

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Four apartment units were damaged and a firefighter and resident suffered minor injuries when a blaze broke out in Sacramento late Wednesday morning.

Sacramento Metro Fire reported that the fire started in a downstairs unit and spread to the second floor and attic at the four-plex at 4612 Ashdale Court in Carmichael, near Interstate 80 and Madison.

A firefighter was injured when debris fell on him, injuring his neck and back but it's not believed to be serious. A woman with health problems had to be hospitalized with smoke inhalation.

Three units suffered significant damage and a fourth apartment was also damaged. All residents will be displaced, Sac Metro said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The complex was listed for sale on trulia.com for $209,950.
