Another Person Accuses Counselor Of Molestation

MARTINEZ, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say a second person has accused a Contra Costa County juvenile hall counselor of molestation.

The alleged victim -- identified by prosecutors Friday only as a young male -- was apparently counseled by 53-year-old Thomas Jewell of Pleasant Hill.

Jewell has already been charged in Contra Costa County with possessing child pornography and molesting a boy between September 2007 and last month. He is also facing federal child pornography charges.

Contra Costa prosecutors tell the Contra Costa Times they plan to amend their criminal complaint against Jewell. They say investigators are also looking into additional possible victims.

Jewell worked as a counselor at Martinez juvenile hall. Prosecutors have not said whether the alleged victims were juvenile hall clients.

Jewell has yet to enter a plea.
