Another Earthquake Rattles Sierra Nevada
TRUCKEE (CBS13) -- Another mild earthquake rumbled through the Sierra Nevada early Sunday morning, just a few days after a stronger jolt was felt across hundreds of miles of Northern California and Nevada.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the 6:25 a.m. quake as a 3.8-magnitude event, located at nearly the exact same location and depth as Wednesday night's 4.7-magnitude temblor.
Hundreds of Nevada County and Placer County residents reported feeling the quake on the USGS website, but no damage was reported.
Both earthquakes were centered near Whitehawk, a small town roughly 20 miles northwest of Truckee.
