Amador County Men Charged With Kidnapping, Beating Sacramento Prostitute
PLYMOUTH (CBS13) - Two Amador County men were arrested over the weekend after a Sacramento area prostitute reported they kidnapped her, beat her and forced her to perform sex acts.
Amador County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home on Wheeler Loop in Plymouth on Jan. 23 where a 23-year-old woman who admitted to being a prostitute said two men known to her as "Vince" and "Mike" tied and bound her and then forced her to perform sex acts while a shotgun was held to her head. She said she had been to the residence on Consumnes Lane multiple times in the past to be paid for sex.
The woman then reported she was driven around before being thrown out on Wheeler Loop. She was transported to Sutter Amador Hospital for treatment.
Deputies responded to Vincent Brewer's residence but found the residence unoccupied. A search of Brewer's residence revealed significant physical evidence that corroborated the victim's account of what had transpired.
The suspects were positively identified by the victim via photographic line up as Vincent M. Brewer, 30, of Plymouth and Michael L. Gunn, 38, of Martell.
On Jan. 25 at about 4:55 p.m. deputies and Jackson Rancheria Casino security detained Gunn as he reported to work at the casino. Gunn was interviewed by a sheriff's detective and reportedly admitted his involvement with Brewer in the kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and sexual assault of the woman. A search of Gunn's residence on Highway 88 in Martell resulted in the recovery of the firearm reportedly used in the crime.
A few hours later, casino security reported that Brewer was in the casino. He denied any involvement in the incident but had injuries consistent with those reportedly caused by the woman during the assault.
Gunn was charged with kidnapping, oral copulation by force and special allegations. Brewer was charged with kidnapping, oral copulation by force, penetration with a foreign object and special allegations.
Both men are being held without bail.
