Adidas To Pay Harden $15.4 Million Per Year

Adidas- "Hey James Harden, how would you like to wear a pair of Adidas while you drive the lane on the court?"

Harden- "Ehh, I don't know, I really like the Nike shoes I've been wearing."

A- "We will give you $200 million if you do."

H- "DEAL!"

That's right, Adidas is going to pay James Harden $200 million over 13 years to wear their shoes and for the company to use his name and likeness in commercials and advertisements.

If you break it down, it comes out to about $15.38 million per year.

Just to put that into some perspective, if that was his salary in the NBA, that would make him the 25th highest paid player in the league.

But don't forget, that's not his NBA salary, it's just a shoe deal. His salary for the upcoming year from the Houston Rockets is $15.72 million per year.

Let's do some quick math real quick, Harden is making $31.1 million per year when you combine his shoe deal and his contract with the Rockets.

Must be nice, right?

Oh by the way, he doesn't even have the highest paid shoe deal in the NBA.

The only two players with higher shoe contracts are LeBron James at $20 million per year (Nike), and Kevin Durant at $30 million per year (Nike).
