Grant's Rant: A-Rod Needs To Go
So baseball season is almost here and already the circus is in town.
Alex Rodriguez reported to camp earlier today and gave an eight-minute media session. According to Rodriguez, "It's always an adventure. The first day is definitely going to be a little nervous, excited. There will be energy in the building, that's for sure."
I mean, are you serious? Is he serious? You want to talk about a distraction. Is there any bigger distraction in sports right now than this guy?
When someone asked him if he was currently using any banned substances he said no but declined to answer what that now famous note he wrote last week was about.
Rodriguez said, "I'm just focused on making this team. "Obviously it was a rough year, but I'm very excited that's behind me and I have a chance to hopefully make this team."
Here's the deal with A-Rod; nobody wants him. The Yankees don't want him. The fans don't want him. Nobody wants to see him in pinstripes this year. You have to be kidding me. I mean this is a disaster if he's on the roster.
Honestly, at this point, the last thing I want to see is Rodriguez in pinstripes.
I don't care if they're in last place. I'd rather see the Yankees in last place then see Rodriguez at third base. Unbelievable.
And that's my rant for the day.
