A Pryor Commitment

By Frank Luna
Yesterday I predicted the Raiders would have a better record than the 49ers. To hedge my bet today, here's another prediction. If the Oakland offense isn't firing on all cylinders by mid-season, you can bet new head coach Hue Jackson's sideline phone with a direct link to the owners box will be ringing off the hook. On the other end of the line will be the raspy voice of Al Davis 'strongly recommending' Terrelle Pryor enter the game. That will be closely followed by direct orders from said owner to re-design the Raider offense into an option-run attack to showcase the athleticism and talents of his first round pick in this years supplemental draft. Raider haters might love this because the NFL defenses are too fast and too smart for an option-run offense to be effective past more than a week or two. Raider lovers take heed and hope the Oakland defense can keep the opposing offenses in check. With an arsenal of offensive weapon, the Raiders will surely be in almost every game this season. Just pray that sideline phone stays in a season-long slumber.
