Car Slams Into Natomas Home, Driver Investigated For DUI
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Drunk driving may be to blame for an accident that sent a car slamming into a Natomas home narrowly missing a girl.
Officers say two cars collided on San Juan Road and Pelican Court sending a Buick slamming into a girl's bedroom in the front of a home.
The family was watching TV and says the girl had just left her bedroom minutes before the car hit.
One of the drivers tried to run away but was detained by witnesses.
"We got him detained until they got here," said Josh Scott. "We threw him in the bushes."
"I wanted to punch him but I held back," Junior Mauga said after the car slammed into his home. "I just wanted to get him back over here and make sure the cops got him."
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver who ran is being investigated for possible DUI.
