Super Bowl 50: 8 Free Super Community Events You Don't Want To Miss
According to the official Super Bowl 50 website, 66 San Francisco Bay Area communities have signed up to be "Super Communities," which is basically a pledge to celebrate Super Bowl 50 as hard as they can leading up to the big game in Santa Clara. These communities are providing many family-friendly "Super Celebrations" throughout the Bay Area region, including the following FREE events below. It's almost time to start celebrating!
Chinese New Year Flower Fair - San Francisco
What: Kick off Super Bowl celebration week with the Chinese New Year Flower Fair in the nation's second biggest Chinatown (New York #1). Watch the mini procession along Grant Ave, the ribbon-cutting ceremony and then treat yourself to Flower Market Fair where you can purchase flowers, fruit and other food.

STEM Innovation Bowl - Santa Clara
What: Through a partnership with local tech companies, the Santa Clara Library and Information Technology Departments have created STEM Innovation Bowl to give people a simulation of an astronaut's experience. Attendees will be able to see the world through astronauts' eyes by wearing a virtual reality headset outfitted with a motion controller.

Super Community Concert & Fireworks - Santa Clara

Super Scavenger Hunt - Pleasanton
What: More than a dozen local businesses are coming together to give children (10 and under) the scavenger hunt experience of a lifetime! Children will be scavenging downtown businesses to find clues and earn football-themed prizes along the way.

Hunt For The Golden Football - Pleasanton
What: The children had their scavenger hunt (above), but now it's the adults' turn! Follow Pleasanton Downtown Association on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for hints on where seven footballs are hidden in downtown Pleasanton for a chance to win a gift card, gift basket or a huge cash prize.
According to the official Super Bowl site, this is how it works:
1) Follow the Pleasanton Downtown Association on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
2) We will share on our social media channels hints to where seven footballs are hidden downtown.
3) Each football is color coded and matches a prize; either a gift card, gift basket or if you find the golden football you will receive a huge cash prize. The cash prize amount will be announced the week before the hunt.
4) Once you find a football, report to the golden arch outside of the Museum on Main at 603 Main Street. Redeem the football to receive your prize.
