6 Oakland Raiders Players Sit Atop Pro Bowl Voting
It looks like the Silver and Black will be making quite an appearance at the Pro Bowl in Orlando this year.
Although voting doesn't end until December 20, the NFL released the current leaders for each position and the Oakland Raiders have six players sitting atop their respective positions.
If voting ended today, the six Raiders players who would make it on just the fan vote would be:
- Jamize Olawale - Full Back
- Donald Penn - Tackle
- Kelechi Osemele - Guard
- Khalil Mack - Defensive End
- Reggie Nelson - Free Safety
- Marquette King - Punter
Notice the one name missing is the MVP candidate, Derek Carr. Although he is fifth in the NFL in total Pro Bowl votes, he isn't leading the AFC at the quarterback position. Carr trails Tom Brady in votes by roughly 19 thousand.
A couple things to remember:
- There's still time to vote.
- Players and coaches get to vote after the fan vote is over.
- If Oakland makes it to the Super Bowl, the Raiders players who make the Pro Bowl can't actually play in the game.
