49ers Fever Ramping Up For NFC Championship Game

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) - Forty-niners fever is growing by the minute in Northern California as long-time fans get ready for Sunday's NFC championship game.

Tickets don't go on sale until Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. for season ticket holders – 1 p.m. for the rest of us.

We found at least one fan who will do whatever it takes to see the game in person. Desmond Howard has been on cloud nine the 49ers won on Sunday.

"Its like Harbaugh said 'who's got it better than us?' Nobody," said Desmond.

Forever faithful since he was a kid in Palo Alto, Desmond was lucky enough to get to see the game some are calling the best of all-time, in person.

"What's happening right now is very special because it brings out the kid in you. Reminds you of the good times," said Desmond. "It's our year; it's our year"

If you thought those tickets were hard to come by, it's going to be even tougher to snag a seat to watch the Niners battle the New York Giants on Sunday.

"The anticipation is aging me. Like I can't wait for this game," said Desmond.

Instead, Desmond is already gearing up to buy the ticket to the ultimate game.

"It's tax time. I am going to wait till I get my W2's and wait off to get tickets to the Super Bowl," said Desmond.

We looked on Stub Hub tonight and tickets start at $288. The highest priced seats will set you back $30,000.
