3 Horses Killed In Modesto Barn Fire
MODESTO (CBS13) — A fire at a Modesto barn claimed the lives of three horses on Friday, the Modesto Fire Department said.
The barn on McReynolds Avenue caught fire at around 5 p.m., prompting a response from several engines. When the fire was extinguished, 20 minutes later, three horses were found deceased inside.
The owner was not at home at the time, but he is on his way back to meet with investigators and go through the damage.
The cause is under investigation.
Damage caused by the fire is expected to be $60,000.
