25-Year-Old Man Killed In Stockton Shooting

STOCKTON (CBS13) -- A 25-year-old man was shot and killed in Stockton Thursday night.

San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies responded to call of multiple gunshots fired in the 3500 block of E. Miner Street at about 9:15 p.m. When they arrived on scene, the found a vehicle in a parking lot with all its doors open and the engine running. They also found a motorcycle on its side to the southwest of the vehicle in a driveway. No one was at the location.

As deputies were investigating, they learned Kenneth Brooks Jr. had been dropped off a local hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Brooks Jr. was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A witness reporting see one person shoot at two others who were running on E. Miner toward Highway 99. The suspect was described only as a balding, thin white male.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the sheriff's office at (209) 468-4400 or "Text a Tip" to "274637" with SJSO in the message, then the tip.
