2 PG&E Workers Killed In Crash
PLUMAS COUNTY (CBS13) -- Two PG&E linesmen died Thursday night when their truck plunged into a reservoir, authorities said.
Four PG&E employees were traveling along Feather River Highway just east of the Butte County Line when their truck apparently veered out of control. The driver apparently overcorrected, sending the vehicle across all lanes of the road and into the Rock Creek Reservoir, according to the CHP.
The two passengers in the back seat were able to escape immediately but the driver and front passenger were trapped and killed.
Early reports don't indicate that speed or impairment played a role in the deadly accident, authorities said.
The names of the victims have not been released. PG&E has not released information on where the crew was located from.
The crew was apparently working on a project in the Caribou area.
