2 People Injured In Davis Apartment Fire
DAVIS (CBS13) - Two people were taken to the hospital following a fire at a Davis apartment on Monday morning.
Just before 4 a.m., firefighters received reports of heavy smoke and fire coming from the Parkside Apartments on F Street, off East Covell Boulevard.
Two power lines near the complex were damaged in the fire, cutting off power to 29 units in the building.
I heard this girl screaming…and I said, 'has a party gone bad?' And I went out and this house was on fire," said Pete Bridge, a nearby resident.
A Davis Fire Department spokesperson said two people living in upstairs units were taken to UC Davis Medical Center with burn injuries. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just four units involved.
