16 Of 155 Test Positive For Tuberculosis Exposure At Florin High School

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento County health officials say 16 of the 155 students and staff tested for tuberculosis came back positive for exposure to the disease.

The testing was done after a student was diagnosed with active tuberculosis.

The 16 who tested positive will be evaluated further and offered preventative treatment. Students who don't show symptoms will still be allowed to go to school.

A second round of testing will be done in 8 to 10 weeks.
