15+ Vehicles Vandalized In Roseville Neighborhood

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – More than a dozen residents in a Roseville neighborhood awoke Sunday morning to discover that their cars had been spray painted by vandals overnight.

At least 15 cars and trucks were tagged with white or red paint in the neighborhood near the intersection of Atlantic Street and Center Street, according to authorities. The graffiti ranged from wavy lines to seemingly random insults, like "hick" and "gay," to a crude facsimile of male genitalia.

After the suspects were done vandalizing the vehicles, they apparently moved on to a nearby bike trail, taking the time to paint what appears to be a Pac Man game board ordained with a swastika.

Rico Depina said he wasn't pleased to discover the crude vandalism on his new black Chevy truck, which he uses as part of his job as an electrician.

"Very surprised, because this is a really quiet neighborhood," Depina said.

Neighbors said there have been a few car burglaries in the area within recent months and suspect there could be a connection.

No description of the suspects is available.
