10-Year Sentence For Roseville Mother In 2-Year-Old Daughter's Death
ROSEVILLE (CBS13) A Roseville mother was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for the death of her 2-year-old daughter.
Denise Wilder pleaded no contest in May to two felony child abuse counts and a count of child neglect that resulted in the 2012 death of McKinley Wilder.
Police say she was drunk and passed out, and her two children were without food, and within reach of alcohol. They found her 2-year-old dead and her 5-year-old daughter very sick.
The judge had stern words on Friday for Wilder.
"The real victim here is a 2-year-old little girl who doesn't have a life, because her mother fed her alcohol with nothing to eat for three days," he said.
The family says McGrath-Wilder's other child is living with the father.
