1 Killed, 1 Critically Hurt In Shooting Near Travis Air Force Base

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) — One person was killed and another critically injured in a shooting outside a bar in Fairfield on Wednesday night, police said.

The shooting occurred outside a bar in the 600 block of Parker Road, near Travis Air Force Base, around 8:45 p.m., according to Officer Cleo Mayoral.

Officers were originally called to the bar for reports of a large fight inside, however, as officers were responding the call was upgraded to shots fired.

They arrived to find two men who had both been shot in the head. A 29-year-old man from Suisun City was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, a 31-year-old man from Fairfield, was taken to the hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

After investigating, officers determined a fight between two groups of men started inside the bar and escalated to gunfire outside. Officers were still working to identify the suspects in the case.

No arrests have been made.

The names of the victims have not been released.
