1 Injured In East Sacramento 2-Alarm Apartment Fire
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A two-alarm apartment fire in east Sacramento sent one person to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
Sacramento city fire officials say the blaze broke out at a complex on Julliard Drive near Occidental Drive.
Fire crews say a man cooking inside a downstairs apartment left the stove unattended. Fortunately, a fire station is located right across the street.
"Someone ran across the street, and started pounding on our door, and said there was a fire across the street," said Sacramento Fire Department Asst. Chief Niko King.
The injured person suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
