1 Dead, 4 Missing In San Francisco Bay Yacht Accident
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — The U.S. Coast Guard continued to search for four sailors missing after a sailboat ran aground near the Farallon Islands on Saturday afternoon.
One crewmember was killed when the 38-foot yacht Low Speed Chase sailed into rocks around 3 p.m. during the 2012 Full Crew Farallones Race.
Three other crewmembers were rescued at sea by a team of Coast Guard helicopters and search and rescue boats that responded to the mayday call, according to the Coast Guard.
