Tuesday's deadly blast in Crescent Township is the third instance of a home explosion in the area within the past eight months.
The Crescent Township explosion was felt in several communities up and down the Ohio River.
Two people died in a massive house explosion and in Crescent Township that could be heard and felt for miles in Western Pennsylvania on the morning of Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
The explosion on Tuesday was first reported at 8:54 a.m. on Riverview Road in Crescent Township, Allegheny County.
Several people were rescued from the basement who were not able to get out on their own.
An explosion was reported at an AmeriGas facility in Beaver County on Friday afternoon.
The explosion happened on Backbone Road exploded on Tuesday evening.
A witness told CBS affiliate WKRC that the explosion felt like "an earthquake."
