Yohe Gives Late-Season Outlook
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) – Josh Yohe of the Tribune-Review joined Chris Mack on the Late Shift from snowy Winnipeg, Canada following the Pens' 4-2 win over the Jets.
With the win, the Penguins clinched their first-ever Metropolitan Division Championship.
Yohe responded to questions about what Paul Martin brings to defensive squad after Martin's "terrific" performance in his first game back from injury. He says that what he does is balance the minutes among the the rest of the pairs, who Yohe notes have been "overextended a lot this season."
He also further analyzed the win and what the Penguins can take from the game.
Yohe talks about the chemistry between Crosby and Bennett on the first line.
He says, "Dan Bylsma doesn't decide who plays with Sidney Crosby, Sidney Crosby decides who plays with Sidney Crosby."
Yohe notes that Bennett seems to be a different player than he was a year ago and Crosby is noticing that.
Yohe thinks fans could see Lee Stempniak move to the third line to join Brandon Sutter, which Josh says he likes that and "I think they may have found something."
He also talked about some of the team's strengths and weaknesses and how they will affect them in the playoffs depending on the potential matchups.
