Wrestling Coach Charged With Sex Assault
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A West Allegheny Senior High School assistant wrestling coach has been charged with six felony counts of institutional sexual assault of a minor.
William J. "Bill" Morosetti, 28, of Coraopolis, was also charged with selling or furnishing alcohol or a malt or brewed beverage.
Court documents say that Morosetti, and an 18-year-old female student had sexual contact between April 2012 and June 2012, mostly at his home.
Mr. Morosetti was suspended from teaching while police investigate the charges, according to a statement from West Allegheny School District which was obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Morosetti is also a teacher at the school, but according to the district statement, the incident did not involve a current student.
The district's website still lists Morosetti as an assistant coach of the West Allegheny High boys' varsity wrestling team.
Morosetti was arraigned today, and released.
