Woman Side-Swipes Car, Crashes Into 4 PennDOT Signs While DUI
ARMSTRONG COUNTY (KDKA) -- A woman side-swiped a car on Route 422 in Manor Township then hit four PennDOT signs and crashed while trying to get away late Saturday night.
Pennsylvania State Police say around 11:15 p.m., a 29-year-old woman was driving on Route 422 when she side-swiped a car that was heading westbound. The woman continued driving and got off at Exit B, but she went off the right side of the road and hit a PennDOT sign. She got back on the road, but then went across the lane and hit another PennDOT sign on the other side of the ramp. She then swerved back to the right side of the ramp, where she struck two more PennDOT signs and began driving on the strip of grass next to the road.
She finally lost control of her vehicle, and the car flipped and rolled two or three times. The 29-year-old got out of her car and attempted to flee the scene on foot. State police say she was found about 300 yards north of the crash site, where she was curled in the fetal position on the right shoulder of the ramp.
