Woman Riding Mattress On Top Of Van Falls To Her Death
HAYMARKET, Va. (KDKA) -- A Virginia woman died early Friday after police say she was riding on a mattress placed on top of a moving van and fell off.
According to the Washington Post, officers responded around 6:40 a.m. to a report of a single vehicle crash in Prince William County.
An investigation found that 20-year-old Sideny Zelaya Gonzalex was riding on an unsecured mattress on top of a van when the mattress came off.

The driver of the van was a 41-year-old woman. Police say speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.
Officer Nathan J. Probus, a spokesman for Prince William County police, said the accident was not the result of a "joyride," but that the women were trying to transport the mattress.
"It's a bizarre case," he said. "I don't remember ever having to deal with a situation like this."
