Woman Hospitalized After West End Crash
WEST END (KDKA) – A woman was hospitalized and another man suffered minor injuries after allegedly losing his brakes and going over a hillside in the West End Thursday morning.
According to officials at the scene, the accident happened on Greentree Road near Woodville Avenue around 9 a.m.
The driver of an SUV said he lost his brakes, swerved to avoid hitting a car in front of him and went off the road and became wedged between the hill and a building.
The SUV's driver suffered minor injuries, but he was unable to fully avoid the car in front of him on the road and struck the vehicle's bumper.
The female driver of the car was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for chest pains.
