Woman Found Dead In Mon River
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Officials have identified a woman who was found dead in the Monongahela River.
The Washington County Coroner says the woman was 59-year-old Peggy Redmond of Brownsville.
Redmond was spotted floating face-down in the river by her husband after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The coroner says she was found along the river behind her home and her husband called police after she didn't return home from a walk along the shore.
It's unclear if she drowned, the cause of death won't be determined until the autopsy is performed.
