Woman Fatally Shot In Aliquippa

ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) -- Police have arrested the fiancé of a woman who was shot and killed in Aliquippa Tuesday night.

According to police, 32-year-old Simone Cox was shot with a handgun in the living room of her home in the 200-block of Fourth Avenue.

Cox, a mother of two, shared the home with her fiancé/boyfriend, 30-year-old Marcus Joseph Raynor.

The victim's sister-in-law, Roxanne Washington. described her as a sweet person.

"I'm in shock, because she was such a sweet person. It's unbelievable what's going on right now. We are just - it's taken by surprise and for the holidays it's going to be double hard for us to deal with this," Washington said.

Raynor is being charged with involuntary manslaughter and illegal possession of a firearm. He is being held at the Beaver County Jail without bond.
