Woman Burned While Hiding Lit Firework From Police
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A woman was injured in a fireworks accident on the North Side over the weekend.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the incident happened in the 1300-block of Halsey Place around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
The woman was treated for second-degree burns at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was allegedly trying to set off a Roman candle when she saw a police car and attempted to cover the lit firework with her hand.
She is now facing charges for possessing illegal fireworks.
