Wind Advisory Issued For Parts Of Western Pa.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Just days after sunny skies and mild temperatures, western Pennsylvania is experiencing high winds and a chance for snow.
According to the National Weather Service, a Wind Advisory is in effect for the following counties:
Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Indiana, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette, Marion, Monongalia.
The advisory is in effect until Sunday at 8 a.m. with 15 to 25 mph winds expected. Gusts could reach up to 50 mph.
Areas to the east are under a High Wind Warning, and can expect gusts as high as 60 mph.
Scattered tree and power line damage is expected, and minor property damage is possible in the highest gusts.
According to KDKA's Jon Burnett, people in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas should expect a mixed bag of rain, sleet and perhaps even snow in the next few days.
