Will Macon Decide On Pitt?
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Prior to this recruiting class, it was rare for the Pitt basketball program to land a Top 100 recruit.
That can't be said anymore because Jamie Dixon could be landing his third blue-chip prospect for the Class of 2012.
Elijah Macon (Huntington Prep (W.Va.), is close to making a decision and appears to be choosing between Pitt and West Virginia.
Macon (6-8, forward), who is ranked No. 61 in CBSSports.com's Top 100, will make an official visit this weekend to Morgantown.
Here's how CBSSports.com describes Macon's game: "He does a lot of his damage in transition, beating opponents down the court for easy baskets at the rim. His back-to-the-basket game is still developing, but he can face-up and knock down mid-range jumpers. Macon is also very solid defensively because of his length and athleticism.
When asked when he's going to make a final decision, Macon said, "It's coming soon."
Back in March of 2010, Macon made a verbal commitment to West Virginia but later on decided to de-commit.
Pitt's Class of 2012:
