Will Bylsma Win NHL Coach Of The Year?
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Will Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma become the first head coach in franchise history to win the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's most outstanding coach?
We'll find out tonight at 7 PM as Versus broadcasts the 2011 NHL Awards Show.
Bylsma should be the leading candidate after leading the Penguins to the second-most number of points (105) and wins (49) in franchise history despite missing Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Jordan Staal for large portions of the season.
In fact, the Penguins suffered 350 man-games lost due to injury- including 119 from Crosby, Malkin and Staal.
Bylsma's competition for the award is Nashville's Barry Trotz and Vancouver's Alain Vigneault.
