Wilkinsburg Robbery Surveillance Video Released
WILKINSBURG (KDKA) – Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in connection with a robbery in Wilkinsburg Wednesday night.
According to police, a man armed with a gun robbed the Dollar General store in the 600-block of Penn Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
Surveillance video shows the suspect walking around the store before approaching the counter. The suspect brandished a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as being an African-American male in his early 20s. He is about 6-feet tall with facial hair and was last seen wearing a white jacket with a brown, hooded-sweatshirt.
There are no reported injuries and anyone with information is asked to call police.
